A haunting mermaid fable for anyone who's ever heard the sirens singing, and considered following their call. Transplanting Hans Christian Andersen's famous Little Mermaid to a war-torn industrial bay, Erik Ehn explodes the fairy tale we're all familiar with, taking audiences on a journey into the depths of the sea, and the depths of our most secret desires. At a moment when we have every reason to view the future with pessimism, Ehn's post-modern fable offers us both a hymn to the power and possibility of change, and a cautionary tale about the price we all pay for achieving our dreams.
